Helensvale, an established community of near 4000 homes is located 15 minutes from Southport and about 40 minutes from Brisbane. The suburb includes the prestige areas of Monterey Keys, River Downs and Riverlinks. The Helensvale train station has an express service north to Brisbane, and south to Nerang and Robina. Westfield shopping centre which opened late 2005 has 185 stores.
